Remove box/text above header

seems to be a textwidget – have you checked the ‘dashboard – appearance – widgets’ for any header related widget areas?

what does studiopress, as the developer of your theme, comment on your problem?

Hi Michael, thank you for the reply. I still have not heard back from them (Studiopress). I see under widgets that there is one titled “Before Header” I deleted the text widget that was under that section previously. Do I need to remove anything in the stylesheet as well?

Hi, how do change the position of the heading of a post in the slider? The heading is showing at the top right corner of the slider, but i want to centralize it at the bottom. Thank you.

Got rid of the before header area. It’s code said this in the child theme:

.before-header {
background-color: #fff;
line-height: 1;
width: 100%;
z-index: 99;
}

and it worked after changing it to this:

.before-header {
background-color: #fff;
display: none;
line-height: 1;
width: 100%;
z-index: 99;
}
