• Hi,

WP & the Plugin are up to date.

By trying to upload pictures (about 20) to the new gallery, only one the first picture is uploaded. The others are still in queue. But the queue doesn’t continue. When i try to upload the rest without the first, still the same problem appears. I also tried to import them via ftp from a new folder with the pictures – same problem here. It doesn’t finish and only one pictures is uploaded.

I would be very thankful if you could help me out with this problem.

    Cheers,
    Luke

@crazyluke – What size images are you trying to upload?

Have you considered having these values raised:
    PHP Max Upload Gr??e : 8M
    PHP Max Post Gr??e : 8M

That may also help with this issue as you show more than enough memory limit space to easily increase those to 64M each

    Hi Cais,

they are optimized for the web. Between 400 and 800kb. I think it shouldn’t be the size that makes the problem.

@crazyluke – There could be a plugin conflict going on here or at least it should be ruled out. Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

    Dear Cais,

Thank you for your reply. I was not able to deacitvate all and reactivate NextGEN, because there was nights no opportunity for that (can’t do it at day). I will do it soon, but I have more informations which may help you also? Let’s try, otherwise I will do the steps in the posting above.

It looks like a thumbnail generation problem. First of all I thought that it’s just a problem of uploading multiple images, but as far as I can see right now no thumbnails were generated and this causes the termination of the multiple picture upload. I uploaeded 12 images in a gallery, each time only one – little by little. For example it also worked uploading the rest of the images in the folder via FTP and let your plugin check if there are new images in this folder. For the last 4 images i had to click 4 times to check the folder beacuase it recognized only one. Then I thought the gallery was uploaded successfully but it wasn’t. No one of the pictures has a thumbnail.

    Here are two screenshots:

    Any other ideas now?

    Thank you in advance,
    Luke

@crazyluke – I would still recommend the full check for plugin and/or theme conflicts.

    Thanks!
