Pay by Check addon don't work properly

  • hi,

    i installed Pay by Check addon to allow users to pay with bank tranfer.

    when the user pay with “pay by check” under Memberships > Orders the order status is “pending” as expected.

    But the users can enter in site also if the status is pending.
    normally the user can access also the administrator check pending to success
    What should happen ?

    anyone help me ?

    Hi there. When you use Pay by Check and a member has an order in “pending” status, it will keep the the_content/the_excerpt filters turned on so they can’t see that member content… but they are still considered “members” of their level in other ways. So other ways of restricting things will consider them full members.

    If there is something specific you want pending members to not have access to, you can let us know in our member forums and we’ll give you the code to restrict that.

    You can also try the PMPro Check Level add on, which has you set one level (which you don’t give any access to) for paying by check and then manually move users into the real level with access after the check clears.

    Hi,

    I was in the process of setting up a payment gateway, so thought I would use the pay by check option in the meantime, with an instruction to email for payment details. Problem is, I didn’t notice there was a section for credit card details. Now I have quite a few new members who have access, and have put their credit card details in, but I don’t have a payment gateway or merchant account. Can I assume that these details went nowhere and that no money was taken from their cards?
