Youtube Onclick Autoplay

  • I have a button that links to a video in the footer area of the website. I want the video to autoplay on the button click only. I have found some answers saying that I could add javascript to the code, but I only have access to the WP dashboard. If this would work, where in the editor section would I add this info?

  • I have a script at work for embedding a youtube video on a page, and it will autoplay when you scroll to a certain point down the page (so it will start to play when you scroll down the page and the video is in your screen). It’s not exactly what you asked, but it might be easy to edit it and change the “trigger” to a mouseclick (can’t look into the file now, I’m not at work at the moment).
