Share button not sending Emails in Jetpack

    The page appears to include a script from Yahoo Commerce Central (ex Lexity). That wouldn’t normally be an issue, but the problem here is that the script is added after the closing </body> tag.

    Could you try moving the script inside the closing body tag, and let me know if it helps?

    I do not know where I need to go in WordPress to move the script inside of the </body>. Please let me know. Thank you.

    If you didn’t add the script to your theme yourself, I’d suggest getting in touch with the theme author to get some help.

    You can also check your theme files yourself with an FTP client of the File Manager if your hosting provider provides one, and look for the script in the footer.php file.

    I still need help from Jetpack regarding the Share plugin.

    Here is the response from the theme designer”

    We don’t have nothing after closing <body> tag, so maybe it was added by a plugin or it’s not there, please try to deactivate all your plugins.

    So I deactivated and reactivated all plugins and no change. The Share button at the bottom does not work.

    Then please contact the plugin developer (Jetpack) about it and of they say the theme have something after an ending body tag, tell them there is nothing there.

    Dear Happiness Engineers – Make me happy. HEEEEELP!!!!!

    The Share by “email” option is Jetpack is NOT working. It seems to have stop working since a few weeks.

    The good news, the Share by social media is working since I was able to post a page successfully.

    I asked the theme designer to help, but they said it’s the Jetpack issue.

    Please go the bottom of these pages and test it yourself by sending to your own email and let me know when you fix this. Thank you.

    It is not added by Jetpack.

    Since Lexity is a Yahoo service, I wonder if the script could be added by your host directly, since you host your site at Yahoo.
    Have you tried disabling the yplink.php plugin, just to see if the script is added by that plugin?

    If that doesn’t help, did you happen to modify any of theme templates yourself to add the script yourself?

    The share button works on the 2 other sites you mentioned, though:

    I deactivated the yplink.php plugin (AKA Customizable Permalinks) and I tried sharing email at https://www.happynick.com/marketing/contact/. Let me know if you are about to use Share by email successfully.

    I’m happy Share by email works on the other websites. They are hosted with Media Template and Godaddy.

    Update. Since many of the pages were not loading, I reactivated the yplink.php plugin (AKA Customizable Permalinks) at https://www.happynick.com/marketing/.

    You said there was a way to move the Share script inside the closing body tag. Where and how can I do this? Can I do this in the child theme?

    That depends how the script is added to the page.

    Could you try to deactivate the yplink.php plugin again, and then check the page’s source code and see if the script was removed? If it was, you’ll have to contact the plugin authors to ask them to fix this issue.

    I deactivated the yplink.php plugin (AKA Customizable Permalinks). Please tell me how and where I can check the page’s source code and see if the script was removed?

    In Firefox I go to Developer > Inspector > click the left top box with an arrow facing in > mouse over the area I want to review.

    But I noticed not all of the pages want to load at https://happynick.com/marketing/.

    I get the following message:
    “The page isn’t redirecting properly

    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.”

    The script is still there.

    I’d suggest contacting your host about this, and ask them if they inject the script to your site themselves.

    I’ll contact yahoo and reference this thread.

    I will reactivated the yplink.php plugin (AKA Customizable Permalinks) since some pages not not load.

    I have tried to send the page using email share option on the following, but I never get them (even if I get the message that it was sent). I have used different emails to send it as well.

    Hi Jeremy,
    Can you also please have a look at https://ny-today.com/traveling-tips-for-smooth-journey/ ? Same issue, not delivering the mail, I had a pixel tracking code outside </body> tag in footer, moved inside, but no change.
