Main menu not displaying correct product page

I have looked everywhere/tried everything I can think of/have spent hours on this/am at my wits end, so hope someone has a simple answer for a total rookie.

I am in the process of creating a website using a child theme of Canvas. Here’s the problem: when I upload a product and then look at the “preview” under Product, it looks like I think it should. But when I try to call it up in the main menu of the website, it only displays part of the product information. Then, when I take a peek under Product>Categories, it is here I see only this partial information. I have created this main menu under the Product Categories listing. I guess my question is this: how do I get those categories in the menu to call up the information I see in the Product “Preview”? I know there’s probably a simple answer to this but I just can’t find it.
