When you upload the image via the uploader – Products -> Upload it should definitely extract metadata (the title) as well as keywords and description in setting up your product. If you do it this way, you can mass-create products with automatic features.

There are rare cases where that does not happen due to the way a person might embed metadata (what program are you using to embed metadata?)

The license must be set in the settings area of grfx. Did you do that? If not, maybe we have a bug. Please verify that.

Your site is absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to see it finished.

Well, I use Lightroom to process the Raw files, which names are out of the camera like DSC589785 or so, then export them as JPEG and rename…

Yes, for sure I set the license. You can see it, if you add the product to cart, then view cart, and you can see the other issue, the top part of the liccense and don′t allowing to scroll.

    Thank you very much.

Hope not being too leaden, just wanna help you to polish this great plugin.

Said that, seems to be an issue as well with the tags, showing only the matadata ones, and not allowing to add another ones via the product edit.

    Regards.

    – There does seem to be an issue with the product-facing license from the last update. Thank you for showing me.

    – In the product-edit, tags are added to the product as usual, but we do not interact with the image’s original metadata.

    – Regarding your meta-data, I will have to personally inspect the process on your site. You may contact me leo [at] grfx.co

    – From there I can do some inspection and see what I can update on the plugin’s side to broaden compatibility.

This is just an update to let you know I’ve identified the issue and an update will be out soon on the items you’ve mentioned.

Love the plugin, but I’m having exactly the same problem.

The tags and description both populate from the meta data without problem, but the title is always blank.

How can I resolve this? I’m using the latest version of the plugin. Is there an update coming soon? It’s a great plugin, but without titles then it’s severely compromised.

There are several areas metadata can be stored in an image, and I think the plugin only checks one of those places (the more common one) so hence it works for some and not others.

I’m going to modify the plugin so it checks all three sources. I’ll get an update out soon.

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear that you’ve unearthed the bug. Look forward to the update.

I’ve had a play around with where I put the meta data in my editor (Photomechanic). It appears that the plugin currently checks in the object name field for the product title, right?

Am using a work around for now so that this field is populated, but really looking forward to the update.
