Site title not showing next to post/page

Hi

The title of my site/blog is not showing up on the browser window header next to the title of the current page or post. I’m pretty sure that it was showing before I activated a child theme but I’m not 100%. The title tag is visible in the header.php file in both the parent and child theme.
