    Hi,
Sorry to bother you with a question already answered inside the plugin, but I really could not understand how to solve this.

I’ve installed the plugin, and on toolbar report I’m advised that Query Monitor was unable to symlink its db.php file into place.

Your post says to manually create the symlink by running the following a specific command… but the question is: where should I run such command, and how?

    Thanks for your time,

    Francesco

    Hi Francesco,

You’ll need shell access to run that on the command line. If you’re on shared hosting then it’s very unlikely you’ll have shell access.

The best thing to do would be to contact your web host or your website administrator and ask them if they can run the command for you. You’ll need to point them to the db.php page on the Query Monitor wiki, and let them know that it applies to the wp-content directory on your server.

    HI John,

    I’ll do it.

Thank you very much for your explanation.

    Regards,

    Francesco
