Main menu won't keep page

    I just noticed that my main menu lost the last page on its list and I can’t add it back. Every time I try to add it back, the menu removes itself from “main menu” position in the theme and doesn’t save the last page entered. Is there a finite number of pages to add to the main menu? It confuses me because up until recently, it worked. All the pages were there. I can’t say for certain if this happened after upgrading to 4.2.2, because I just noticed it.

    Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

    WP installation: 4.2.2
    Theme: Customizr 3.3.28 (btw – this happened before I updated the theme to the latest version)

  • I count 65 menu items. My menu failed as you describe at 62 and my fix was to increase php’s max_input_vars setting from 1000 to 3000 in php.ini. If you don’t have access to php.ini, your host’s techs should be able to do it for you.

    Thanks lorro for the info. Is this something that changed recently. That’s what I couldn’t understand – my menu worked fine for almost a year before it started this behavior.
