    Hi,

first of all, thx for this outstanding plugin. The CSS is easy to manage and I (almost) get exactly what I wanted (I just need to center in vertical the text with respect to the image).

My question is more concerning the widget option and especially if I click Last X days / X hours.
I just setup the plugin (this morning) so maybe there is not enough data collected. The point is, if I use the “overall” option, it works perfectly. However, if I choose “1” day or only “1” hour in the widget, nothing is displayed (not yet … or blank, choose your side ;)).

So, my question is : is it because I did not let enough time to the plugin to get data or I have an issue ?

With all my congrats for this mervellous plugin

Thanks for the words of appreciation. It helps ??

On your question, can I see your site URL?

The daily option is usually instant, but I have seen the case where it might need a day to kick in.

    Hi,

I checked your site and there is an error in tracking the daily posts. The normal posts are working fine.

You might need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the plugin and you might need to delete existing tracking data.

Here’s what I’d like you to try:

    1) Reset the Top 10 options in the settings page and then browse your site (logged out) and see if the posts tracked.

    2) If that doesn’t work, then please visit your Plugins page. Deactivate the plugin, delete the plugin from here and install a fresh copy as you normally do. If it still doesn’t track then go to step 3.

    3) If you’ve reached this stage it is likely there are DB errors and you might lose the count. I recommend exporting the contents of wp_top_ten and wp_top_ten_daily folder using phpMyAdmin first.

Then select the option: Delete counter data on uninstall in the Settings page and then delete and install the plugin like in step 2.

    Hi ,

well nothing changes with this. I could try something “smart”.
If I put a daily maintenance schedule, I will have a “fresh” display each day, am I wrong ?

    Hi,

That won’t help, because the maintenance only cleans the daily tables and not the overall because the former get very heavy with old counts data.

If you have access to phpMyAdmin, could you please tell me what the database structure is for the wp_top_ten_daily table?

    Okay, let’s do like this.

I’ll do it in a week. Don’t worry if I don’t answer before, I’am moving and will probably not have any internet possibility.

    Hi WebberZone,

For some technical reasons, I could not perform what you suggested. However, I used a trick. The idea is to get the most popular of the DAY/WEEK in our case. As for the total view I can use GA, I just have to reset the data every monday (if I want a weekly popular post).

Actually, such option could be of interest for many people, I really think it would be a “plus” for the plugin.
Thanks for your help before and I said it again, it’s a good plugin.

    Hi, Thanks for confirming.

The idea of the daily posts is to perform the most popular day/week/ month option. You don’t need to clean the daily tables but I noticed that doing so does help. At least once every few weeks is useful.
