games back formula

I am setting up a bocce league sport site and want to list the teams with a won, loss and games behind column. I have added a games behind column and am trying to use the games back feature.

I can get to the equation from the configure table columns in league tables; but, now I need to know how to create the formula that will calculate games behind the first place team. So far I have given the column a format of 1 decimal point and have tried won, loss, loss for, loss against, plus, minus, divide options and cannot figure out what the formula is.

I can change the formulas and look at the league table but the ‘working formula’ is still a mystery.

I can do the formula in excel…=((MAX($F$9:$F$16)-F9)+G9-(MIN($G$9:$G$16)))/2 which is a basic baseball formula. Note: there will be no ties in the game results, Only a TEAM win or loss.
