showing on all categories post is filed under except for the parent cat

Hi,

At the moment, my site structure (using it as a CMS) looks like this:

-biography
-gallery
-lyrics
–album 1
–album 2
–album 3
(where — is a child category)

In the case of lyrics, songs are published as posts and sometimes one song end up in more than one category, for example, album 1 and 3. What I want to do is show only the child categories each song is filed under, not the parent category at all. How do I do this?
