• Just updated to Meta Slider version 3.3.4 and now the display on my website is bad – overflows into the sidebar, shows unlinked numbers on the side instead of bullets on the bottom – and the settings page won’t show a full preview of the slides.

Was my update corrupted or should I try to go back to the previous version? If I delete then re-add, do I lose all of my saved sliders?

Tried removing and reinstalling. Same results. Luckily had a back-up of an older version.

    Hi nhufford,

Sorry to hear you’ve had problems with the update.

Please could you help us try and figure out what the issue is? To do this we’ll need to see the site when it is broken, or see a copy of the page source in it’s broken state.

    Please could you:
    1. Install the WP Rollback plugin, this will let you easily revert back to version 3.3.3
    2. Update Meta Slider to 3.3.4
    3. Right click on one of the broken pages and go to View Source
    4. Highlight and copy the complete page source and paste it into pastebin.com
    5. Roll back to v3.3.3 to fix your site again
    6. Send us a link to the page source on pastebin.com so we can investigate

    Regards,
    Tom

Hi, I’m also facing the same problem, I was the one who wrote in to support. Thanks for your help on the rollback. I tried reinstalling the newest version and I faced the same problem. I believe the problem lies with the flexslider’s css not being loaded. I saw that there were no css associated with the flexslider class after the update. Not sure why that is the case but it should be the reason.

And again thanks for the prompt reply from the developers!

Thanks nhufford, that’s a great help, I see the problem ??

Dionkta, I think you’re probably experiencing the same issue.

I’ll start working on a fix.

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi Both,

Please could you both let me know which theme you’re using? I’m having trouble reproducing the error here.

    Regards,
    Tom

Upgraded — fatal error. Disabled slider error gone. (PRO version)
    ————-
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tgmpa_load_bulk_installer() (previously declared in /home/patmedic/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider-pro/inc/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php:1826) in /home/patmedic/public_html/wp-content/themes/wordpresscanvas/inc/vendors/tgm-plugin-activation/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php on line 2204

I rolled back to metaslider to 3.3.3, and Pro to 2.6.4 And fatal error is gone and site is up again. I posted the problem above post.

    Hi Kittyittybitty,

Sorry to hear you’re having problems with the update. Please can you get in touch through https://www.metaslider.com/support? Please can you:

    1. Try updating to Meta Slider (free) 3.3.4, this release shouldn’t be causing the fatal error (I don’t think your issue is the same as the one that dionkta and nhufford are experiencing). Hopefully we can rule out 3.3.4 as being part of the problem.
    2. Let us know how/when you updated to Meta Slider Pro 2.6.5? (2.6.5 was only available for a few hours on Thursday and all references to tgmpa were removed as part of that release). The latest ‘official’ release is 2.6.4. I just need to clear up my confusion about that!
    3. Let us know if you updated your theme at the same time as updating the plugins, that might explain point 2.

    Regards,
    Tom

I’m having the same problem with 3.3.4 as nhufford which I updated to yesterday. Prior to that everything was find and I didn’t change any settings or update any other plugins.

Is there a fix yet? Thanks.

Also, it just seems to be a problem on my desktop version. Mobile looks fine.

Sorry for another post but here’s the link to the site: https://gcfunstuff.com/

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the link. The problem is the same as nhufford and dionkta.

Is your theme totally custom or is it based on something else? I’m still unable to replicate the issue here, once I can replicate it it should be an easy fix.

While I’m figuring it out, please install the WP Rollback plugin and roll back to v3.3.3.

    Regards,
    Tom

It’s based on Twitter bootstrap (as I understand it!).

    Hi Brian,

I assume it has been custom developed for you?

Would you mind getting in touch through https://www.metaslider.com/support/?

I would like to take a look at the contents of your themes functions.php file to see if there’s something in there that’s adjusting the output on the page. If you could paste the contents of your themes functions.php file (go to Appearance > Editor, select Theme Functions on the right) into pastebin.com and send us a link it would be very helpful.

    Regards,
    Tom
