Can you tell me how do you register that custom tax? In your theme or plugin? If in the plugin, please let me know which plugin so I can test with it.

My guess is that the custom tax registered later than my plugin so I can’t get them to show in the settings. This can be improved if you can provide me more info.

    Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks for the reply, it is indeed a plugin, I use Types (version 1.7.5) to register my custom taxonomies. Just tried a fresh install of wordpress and the encountered same problem.

    Thanks again!

hey Can you please make sure that you’ve set the custom taxes “hierarchical”?

I just installed Types and it works fine as so: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z6rpcl08ke1nl1w/Screenshot%202015-07-18%2012.42.10.png?dl=0

I used another plugin called Custom Post Type UI for registering “Test Taxes” (see the image above) and it also works.

So for now I’ll mark this thread as resolved. Feel free to contact me with more details. Thanks.

Yep, that was the problem, my taxonomies had been checked off as flat. Thanks so much for looking into this for me. Full steam ahead…
