• Hello,

My visitors are reporting to me that they are getting a 403 forbidden error when they try to visit my site.

I notice this only happens with the iTheme plugin enabled. When I disable it, everyone can access it fine.

This only started happening in the last few weeks. I love the plugin but obviously can’t use it if my audience can’t access my site.

    Can anyone help solve this?

  • Hi,

It seems they may be triggering a permanent Ban somehow. You can remove their IPs from the .htaccess. Then I’d keep an eye on your logs to see why they’re getting locked out.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the response.

It’s strange because my site visitors are government agencies so there’s no real reason for them to be getting that error / no access.

    Hi,

There are many reasons it could be happening. For example they could be hitting 404s or their usernames could be being in brute force attacks. The logs should shed some light.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
