• For almost 2 years now, I’d been receiving false update notices for plugins (see unsolved thread here: Flase Update Notices).

This morning I was looking at some of my plugins and noticed some of them are several versions outdated. I tried bulk updates, but it states they are all up-to-date. I tried updating my plugins one at a time and I get “The plugin is at the latest version.” An example is Akismet, currently at Version 3.1.3 and I am running Version 3.1.1. Another is Jetpack, currently at Version 3.6 and I am running Version 3.5.3.

I’ve reinstalled WP to no avail.

  • as you are having this issue from a long time, i will suggest a fresh install. probably in a subdomain/subfolder. copy database and files over and test it out. This should get fixed as i havent faced this issue working with different hosts and 100+ wp Installs in last three years.
