Need comment plugger edit

Hello, I need the Comment Plugger from https://mtdewvirus.com/wp-hacks/ to say “none” if no one has commented. The hack of it for wp 1.0.1 use to say none. Does anyone know of a snippet of code to do this? Thanks.
