PayU India payment gateway for INR

    My understanding is that the Give payment code is based on Easy Digital Downloads. Since EDD has many different payment gateways, is it straightforward to use any one of them?

    EDD has an add-on for PayU India, it’s the only EDD add-on that supports Indian Rupee (INR) payments.

    I’d like to see Give support the PayU India payment gateway.

    EDD premium add-ons are not compatible with Give. But I see that you submitted this as an Add-on suggestion for us. We’ll consider it, I can definitely see the usefullness of having a gateway that supports Rupee’s for sure.

    @webdevmattcrom is anyone working on this???
    Currently, we are looking at Give as an option for a system to manage Donations for our NGO. But support for Rupee is a must. I have been looking at the “paypal-standard” gateway code and the PayU API documents. Considering, the PayU IPN and other similarities I found between the two, I think we can work on building an add-on.
    I was wondering if we could get some suggestions, opinions, support or an early peek into some of the issues which we might face?
