Multisite across different servers

  • Slowly moving all of our group’s websites too wordpress. I’ve done it on a site by site basis, as the group is made up of 4 subsidiary businesses in different locations/countries targeting different markets / languages. The four businesses are hosted on three servers 2 on our dedicated US server, one a piece in UK and Germany.

    Further I’m using woocommerce platform to run the sites. So not sure if this starts to present problems all of its own.

    Really I’m looking at whether Multisite will allow content, plugins, themes to be altered across the individual sites or together while on the woocommerce platform hosted on different servers ?

    Or should I stay clear of multisite and go for manageWP.com instead.
