• Hi

I have issue related to Facebook Sharing. When I want to share a post on Facebook the description and photos are not shown. I have tried Facebook Debuger, but I get this error: Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped.
Even I deactivated plugins and tried but did not work.

What is the URL you’re trying to share?

    Thanks for responding.
NewsBuzz.ir is my website and every page I want to share has the issue.

Yep, I see that error too.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thanks for the advice.
I tried to do all you mentioned, but none of them helped. Still the issue remains the same.
Please let me know if there are any other ways to solve it.

    Open graph plugin might help.

    Thanks Lampelina.
I have tried that but no hope. still the same.

With the plugins deactivated, all of them, and the theme switched to Twenty Fifteen, visit https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object with one of your URLs and hit the “Fetch new scrape information” button to clear Facebook’s cache, then try again.

If that makes no difference, see if there is any improvement if you switch back to the Default permalinks. You’ll need to hit the “Fetch new scrape information” button to clear Facebook’s cache again.

    I really appreciate your help.
I tried what you mentioned, but in facebook debug page I got this error: Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped.
    strange.
I tried to search for a solution and tried most of the steps related to wordpress and plugins, but the issue remains. Could it be my hosting?

Which “steps related to wordpress and plugins” have you tried?

One of them was using Facebook Like plugin without any other plugin being active.
The other method was engage with bitly and facebook debug. The another suggestion was to use Head Meta Data plugin to add Meta Data to <head>.

Can we not just review the source output quickly as note if it is correct?

So, for the purpose of this thread, I’ve been testing against https://www.newsbuzz.ir/%DA%86%DA%AF%D9%88%D9%86%D9%87-%DB%8C%DA%A9-%DA%A9%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%B1%D8%A7-%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%AC%D8%A7%D9%85-%D8%AF%D9%87%DB%8C%D9%85-%D9%88-%DA%A9%D8%B3%D8%A8-%D8%AF%D8%B1%D8%A2%D9%85%D8%AF-%DA%A9

I don’t see anything obviously wrong with the source output there, but I do see two things which stand out:

    1. The post takes a very long time to load. Facebook gives up trying to fetch data after either 30 seconds or 1 minute (various articles seem to disagree).

    2. Facebook may be having trouble with the length of the URL due to the non-standard characters, though I’m similarly having trouble finding articles which pin-point an exact answer.

With regards to speed, here are some recommendations: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.newsbuzz.ir/FT2q2v1b and https://www.webpagetest.org/result/150706_D8_10NJ/

Overall, this appears to be an issue on Facebook’s end, and not really something we can help with.

    Yes you are totally right.
I found that my website is a bit slow to load. I have installed two plugins like WP Smush and WP Super Cache, now the speed is fine.It loads faster and smoother. But still the facebook share remains unsolved.

Thanks a lot James for your help. I really appreciate it.

I recommend asking over at Facebook’s support channels then for further support on this. It does not appear to be an issue with WordPress.
