How to make header smaller and stop sliding?

    Hello.

    I would really like to know how I can make the header smaller as in how much space it takes on the pages when viewing it.

    Also would like to know how to stop it from sliding when you scroll.

    Thank you in advance.

    P.S. if you will tell me how to do this with coding and all that.

    Please know that I am a complete new born baby when it comes to this.
    I really require some slightly more detailed instructions.

  • There may be a better way to stop the header from bouncing, but I did it in code. Basically, I commented out the whole default.js file.

    – go to this directory: wp-content/themes/rider/js
    – open the default.js file.
    – delete everything in the file and save it.

    I think the best way is to rename the file, instead of deleting the code inside it because if you may need it in future then how will you get it back. I am saying as per my experience and the final choice is your’s eventually, how do you take the things.
