No data being recorded in Piwik, despite having installed everything completely.

  • I installed Piwik for my wordpress site on Friday, but nothing has changed on the dashboard. It says that no analytics have been tracked yet, and that I should add the JavaScript tracking code to every page. Shouldn’t wp-piwik take care of that?

    I’ve looked at the source code to my website and the piwik code is there. There’s just no analytics coming in. I also have Jetpack installed and it’s capturing data just fine.

    Please have a look if Piwik itself shows results, first. In this case, try to disable WP-Piwiks caching (Expert Settings) and try again… also check other caching solutions if used.

    If there are no results in Piwik, too, please compare the tracking code added by WP-Piwik with the tracking code generated by Piwik itself. WP-Piwik gets the tracking code from Piwik, but depending on your configuration it does some changes. Please post the tracking code differences here. Also check if any JavaScript errors are shown.
