Subcategories

I’m not quite sure what you want.

Do you want to sync only the category taxonomy to the child blog? Is this during broadcasting or separately?

If I create two categories, “Top” and “Sub”, with Sub having the parent Top. Then I create a post with the category Sub and broadcast that post to 5 other sites that have neither the Top or Sub category.

What I need is for the post and both categories, Sub having the parent Top, to appear on the other sites with the same parent/child relationship.

Your Sync Taxonomies plugin looks promising but the description does not mention whether it maintains category hierarchy.

How about: broadcast the post with both categories. That will sync the categories with the correct hierarchy.

After the intial broadcast, remove the “top” from the post and rebroadcast.

That should achieve what you want, if I understand you correctly.
