• Since updating WPTouch and Wordfence, I continually get this message on all admin pages:

WPtouch: WordFence was recently disabled, but is still affecting your website and caching pages.
Please reactivate the plugin, disable page caching, then deactivate the plugin again to correct this issue.
Fixing this issue prevents cached desktop pages being served to mobile devices and vice-versa.
Once fixed, this message will be dismissed automatically. Until fixed, WPtouch will not be shown to mobile visitors, and cannot be previewed.

But, I don’t have caching set up by any plugins let alone Wordfence. I have activated and deactivated the plugins, and even activated and deactivated caching in wordfence, and I keep seeing the message.

    Any thoughts?

  • I’ve started getting this same warning, with the newest versions of Wordfence and WPtouch installed. It says ‘Wordfence was recently disabled” but i haven’t disabled Wordfence. I disabled wordfence, checked to make sure caching was off, and re-enabled it but the dialog is still there.

Although the warning says “Until fixed, WPtouch will not be shown to mobile visitors, and cannot be previewed.” the WPtouch mobile site is still working perfectly on this site. I guess this is more of a nuisance than a real problem since it doesn’t seem to be affecting anything…

I’m having the same problem. I followed the instructions for WordFence and then deleted it. This message remained even after the plugin was removed.

Can someone please advise a solution?

I’ve since reactived Wordfence since the above didn’t work anyway.

Also, WPTouch is displaying properly. As far as I can tell the problem is the message. I can’t get rid of it!

    Thank you,
    Kirsten
