import a lot of media

    Hi

    im moving 3 big big sites into one new site, i have moved all the posts and i have uploaded the uploads via ftp, so now i want to add those 18,000 files synced into the wordpress media library

    i can see the plugin works but, when i select to sync a big folder, it does not work

    Any way i can select a big folder with a lot of media, so i don’t have to click one by one and remember which files are already uploaded ?

    No. The plugin has no batch support.

    You’ll probably be better off with a import/export plugin instead (which this is not).

    I too had a lot of videos to import. I FTP uploaded into /uploads/myvids/ but AddFromServer copied the files to /uploads anyway:=(

    Then I locked the root to myserver/mysite/wp-content/uploads
    and it worked like old times!

    1. Under settings>add from server find this field.
    Lock browsing to the directory specified below
    2. Under the input field, copy the full path after
    For reference, Your WordPress Root path is:
    3. Past into field.
    4. After the slash add wp-content/uploads/

    Save settings.

    Solved for me!
