• Hi,

I have one page that was originally blocked. Now the Pages Restriction is in state [ ] Block this page, unblocked, however WP-members still shows it as blocked, require registration.

Moreover, registration doesn’t work. As soon as someone fills the form and press Register, a blank page (of the same link) continues. No registration done.

All caches are cleared, everything was working before last update.

    Please check it. Thanks.

    Max

I forgot to say that behaviour is still the same no matter if the “Block this page” is on or off..

Go to this specific page and see if there are any custom fields “block” or “unblock”.

If your post/page editor window does not display custom fields, pull the “screen options” menu found in the upper right of the window and select “Custom Fields” Then scroll down below the post editor to the Custom Fields meta box.

Hi, I have checked custom fields and there ar no “block” nor “unblock” fields. Just standard like footer, header_title_bar, layout, all of them with blank value. It is a matter only of one page.

The page we are talking about was the only page that was blocked before wp-members update. Blocking of other pages (not blocked before) is working. Maybe it helps you. ?

    Mistake!
I have been looking at replicated page..

Yes, i found a custmo field “block” : true

However Pages Restriction checkbox is unchecked.

    Chad, i have some news:

    – I have edited the “block”, put it from true to false but the page remain still blocked.
    – I have also checked/unchecked the “Block this page” checkbox, it didn’t appear to change anything. Not even the “block” field..

The issue still remains. Do you have any idea?

Better news: I have deleted the “block” custom field. And the page started behaving correctly!

The only issue that remains now is the registration. As soon as anyone tries to register: fill up the registration form, captcha and press Register, a blank page appears with no content.

    Any idea?

As I was reading through this, my response was going to be to delete the “block” custom field, but you got that figured out already.

With the registration process, you mentioned you are using CAPTCHA. Is this reCAPTCHA or Really Simple CAPTCHA?

    Thread Starter maximus0

    (@maximus0)

I was using reCAPTCHA. Few minutes ago I changed it, turned on Really Simple CAPTCHA and result is that registration form is working (no blank page) but there is no CAPTCHA displayed at all :). So I turned back to reCAPTCHA.

I guess it is not how the Really Simple CAPTCHA should be working, or?

    Plugin Author Chad Butler

    (@cbutlerjr)

Well, Really Simple CAPTCHA requires that the Really Simple CAPTCHA plugin also be installed.

But… I am loading an update (3.0.0.2) that addresses the known issues so far today: login form logic, reCAPTCHA include path, and reCAPTCHA namespace collisions. I think that may resolve the problem.

The update should be out very soon.

    Ah, yes – missing plugin… ??
I will keep the page unblocked and wait for the update.

Thank you very much for great support.

    (@cbutlerjr)

    No problem.

The update is out. So please try that and let me know if that corrects things.

    (@maximus0)

I installed the update and everything works like a clockwork.

I have turned on the “Attribution” as little thanks for your help. However, I can’t see the “powered by” link on my register form. Where it should be located?

    (@maximus0)

There is one more thing that have appeared.

As soon as I turn off the “Show Login Form” from Pages, the Dialog message that displays above login/registration form disappears as well.

This is the message I am talking about: “This content is restricted to site members. If you are an existing user, please log in. New users may register below.”

It is visible when both: Login and Registration form is checked to appear at Pages. However once the “Show login form” is unchecked, not to be displayed, the message disappears as well.

    Ahhh…

I corrected that in the update. I’m not rolling up the version number, but if you redownload, that is corrected.

I have re-downloaded/re-installed the plugin and now the message appears correctly.

Thank you again, Chad. Good job!
