An issue that I haven’t come across before.

All new images uploaded as JPGS from my PC have washed out colours and a slight green cast. It doesn’t make any difference whether I use the browser or the multiple upload interface. However, when you click on the picture once on the site it comes up in a lightbox with the original colours.

    Any advice welcomed.

Try saving the files with an sRGB profile. Your original image has a ProPhoto RGB profile attached to it. Color profiles on the web are a tricking business, but most programs and browsers will understand and render sRGB correctly.

Matt, that seems to have done the trick, although strangely the newly uploaded image still appears with a colour cast in my WP media library. I tried uploading a copy of an earlier image that had the correct colour balance, and it too was wrong in the media library, whereas the original, earlier upload of that photo appears as it should do.

If I have further problems I will come back, but many thanks for your advice.
