I’ve been using Simple Links for a few months without issue but when I went to update today, it broke my site and only worked once I deleted the plugin files. When I went to install install it again, it wouldn’t activate because it triggered the fatal error. Here’s the message I got:

Warning: require(__DIR__/template-tags.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /wp-content/plugins/simple-links/simple-links.php on line 23

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘__DIR__/template-tags.php’ (include_path=’/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/vendor/yoast/api-libs/google:.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /wp-content/plugins/simple-links/simple-links.php on line 23

    HI rjmcleod,

thanks for bringing this to my attention.

It seems there is a strange conflict when using the __DIR__ constant. Although I am unable to recreate the issue, I adjusted these requires and release a new version 4.0.8

Please let me know if this does not fix the issue
