/en front-page does not show static front page

  • Hello everyone,

    Firstly thanks for a livesaving project, I literally don’t know what I’d do without Polylang, presently I’m running the latest polylang and wordpress along with the ward-pro theme:

    If I visit my site https://jardinculturel.com/
    It correctly displays my static front page

    However if I go to the site https://jardinculturel.com/en/
    It shows a bizarre hybrid of the posts page and a theme based posts image. Basically a hot mess, is there a way I can force /en/ to go to the correct front page? Or is there a setting I’ve messed up?

    Hi!

    If you want /en/ to be the url of your English static front page, please check ‘The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id’ in Polylang settings.

    I have the same issue with my development site https://new.de-starterwebsite.nl/.

    When at the home page you click on the language switcher all is ok. However then you enter the site via https://new.de-starterwebsite.nl/en/ the news page is loaded. On the news page in the menu however I get a message Nothing found…?

    Both in WP settings and the theme settings, the front page is set to the welcome/home page and the post page is set to news.

    I cannot find the ckeck you mentioned above in the Polylang settings.

    Please advise.

    One issue is solved: I found the solution for the front page! ??

    That leaves me with the issue of the news page: Nothing found. Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” And yes, I have created a few messages in English.

    Looking forward to your advise.
