Not registering product views or clicks, only purchases

  • I am seeing purchases in google analytics, but I am not seeing it register any product views or clicks. So I see absolutely no sessions with views or add-to-carts, but I do have sessions with transactions. Obviously you need a view and add to cart to get a transaction.

    I am using google tag manager and the code that it provides, which is placed right after the opening <body> tag if that makes a difference.

    I had totally forgotten about this because it’s been a week since I shared my GA info, but my client didn’t and just asked about it again. Did you discover anything when you checked it out? Is there anything else that I should try to get it working?

    I got it to show product views, add-to-carts, and checkouts now by taking the GA code out of tag manager and putting it back in the footer. The only thing still not getting any data is “Product List Views” and “Product List Clicks” in the “Product List Performance” section. I lowered the impression threshold to 1 in the settings area just now hoping that will do something, but I doubt it. Any ideas? You have my GA view level account access.
