Customizing the subscription mail sent to the followers

    Hi!
    I have the Avada theme installed in my site, so I use the “fusion page builder” to edit my posts, which creates a lot of code text in my posts.

    So when my posts are sent to the followers of my site they get it with the wordpress coding also.

    Like this:

    What can I do to fix this problem? Is there a solution?
    If not, is there another way to sent mails to the users other than jetpack?

    Hi! Good question ??

    These type of shortcodes refer to code that lives with your theme, and with your themes functionality and styles. When plugins like Jetpack or other subscription plugins send out HTML emails, they have no relation to your theme, so they aren’t able to support the custom styling that your theme brings.

    What I would suggest as a possible solution would be to set the Jetpack Subscription emails to only email out the “Exceprt” from your post, with a “Read More” link. To do this, go to Settings → Reading in your dashboard, and change your Feed Settings to “Summary”. Once you save your changes, all subscription emails will only include an excerpt of your post, with a link to continue reading on the site.
