  • Actually this or something similar is happening for me on WP 4.2 installs, I am having to click the notice away on every single page in the dashboard so far, though it does seem to stay away on a particular page once it has clicked it away on that page…

I was just about to say I had the same issue in WP 4.2.2. However as I was typing I was notified that WP SEO version 2.2.1 was now available and this update seems to have fixed my issue. Hope it works for others….

Seems to be fixed here as well, with 2.2.1…

    Thanks…

4.3 still doesn’t work right with WP 4.1.5 when you try to remove the top alert message stating Yoast was updated. It disappears, but then comes back on the next page load.

Still staying away on our sites using WP 4.2.2… Maybe time to update WP…?

Sure, I always eventually update clients WP when possible but occasionally there’s a showstopper that makes them stuck at an older version. Besides that I can’t think of any logical reason they couldn’t make the alert bar go away consistently on multiple versions. Frankly I don’t see why we need an alert bar at all for that. It’s not like every other plugin feels the need to insert extra junk in multiple places when updating.

Well, this is curious, because it is now happening again on one of our sites updated to WP 4.2.3, the notice keeps returning after being clicked away, showing back up in the dashboard… And it wasn’t before, with 4.2.2…

And even more curious, on another site with 4.2.3 using the same theme and most of the same css, functions and plugins, it is not (so far) returning….

This is still happening with the latest version of Yoast and WP and it is starting to annoy.

It feels like spamming and I’ve seen no way to turn off this “advice”.
