Causes my post to endlessly repeat when used in a footer page

I use the plugin on a page which is inserted at the bottom of every blog post with this shortcode:
[catlist id=688 numberposts=1 orderby=date order=desc no_posts_text=”No headlines found” excerpt=yes posts_morelink=”Read more…”]
It was working until the new version and now it causes my post to redisplay over and over (it never finishes loading).
I had to disable this release or revert.
