How have you set up the E-mail (2)?

I showed that in the video in my PPS. above. Can you see it?

Sorry, I don’t have time to watch video now.

What is the email address you input into the form when it fails?
What is the SMTP server currently configured to send mail for dktrafik.dk?

While this SPF is valid, it implies that whoever set it up didn’t know what they were doing:

    dktrafik.dk. 299 IN TXT "v=spf1 a include:_spf.google.com include:sendgrid.net include:spf.protection.outlook.com ~all"

    Thanks for the feedback.
E-mail (2), and only that, fails to be sent with any e-mail address.
I’m using smtp.sendgrid.net with Sendgrids WP plugin.
What should the SPF be to be correct?

I don’t see any mail configuration problem, if you are using Sendgrid to send the mail. Are you using the Sendgrid plugin?

My next suggestion would be to install Email Log and show that the first email is generated while the second is not. That would be proof to bring to the CF7 author.

I just found out that if I disable sendgrid and send through wordpress natively, it works fine. So could be a change on Sendgrids end or the way that E-mail(2) is sent through APIs that doesn’t work.

But anyway, I’ll just use without Sendgrid from now on.

Could you point me to the error in the SPF, please?

    Thanks for your help ??

    The SPF is valid.

You will still need an SMTP plugin to send your email or will you have more delivery problems. Specifically, your SPF says you send through one of Google, SendGrid or Outlook.com servers. So that’s what you have to do or your email will end up as Spam.

Basically, you need to find an SMTP server that works for you and stick with it ??

okay, thanks – any ideas for one that works?

Well, you have a custom domain so your choices are:

    • Sendgrid – maybe just try again with a different SMTP plugin?
    • Google Apps – it is paid, but rock-sold reliable
    • Office 365 – again paid, but reliable
    • Amazone SES – paid, but reliable
    • Yahoo Business – paid, and not really reliable
    • Mandrill – free
    • Mailgun – free
    • Your own web host’s SMTP server – this is what you did when you disabled the Sendgrid API. If this works for you, just adjust your SPF to include your web host and Bob’s your uncle

Thanks ?? I already use Google Apps but didn’t know it’s possible to use it for sending e-mails through wordpress.

Really? Because your MX says you receive email elsewhere than Google.

My plugin has native support for Gmail and the Gmail API. But shouldn’t you fix your MX records?

    dktrafik.dk. 299	IN	MX	10 mail10.unoeuro.com.

should be like mine – see Google Help:

    hendriks.ca. 3599	IN	MX	1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    hendriks.ca. 3599	IN	MX	5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    hendriks.ca. 3599	IN	MX	5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    hendriks.ca. 3599	IN	MX	10 ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    hendriks.ca. 3599	IN	MX	10 ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.

Your SPF should be like mine too – see Google Help:

    hendriks.ca. 3599	IN	TXT	"v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com -all"

And if you want to be bulletproof, set up DKIM – see Google Help.

Remember DNS changes take up to 48 hrs yadda yadda.

Thanks ?? It’s actually for my personal domain that I use Google Apps, not for dktrafik.dk, so have chosen to stick with sendgrid for dktrafik but use your plugin instead of theirs. And it works great! Thanks for your help and for making an awesome plugin! ??

Ok, glad you got it sorted out!
