Can eCommerce support attributes set function?

I was trying to use eCommerce. But I have some questions. My products will have some different types that they will have some different attributes combinations. So the attributes set function from magento is really needed for me. And also I need sometimes add some products to the post. I mean add products like adding an existing tablepress(a table pluging for wordpress) to the post. Is there any way to realize this? For the last question. will attributes be shown in the front page and search pages to let customers choose products more easily?
