Applying a tiled background image as well a background colour to text

  • Hi there,

    This is probably really simple but I can’t seem to apply a tiled background image to the whole page as well as keeping a white background behind my content text so that it’s readable.

    Do I need to put the image in Content Background or Body Background? Or is there something else I should be doing?

  • Hey, You want to first go to theme options > main settings. top option make sure you have set to the boxed not full width.

    Then in your theme options > advanced styling. Change the body background to the image you want and set the repeat.

    Sorry for the slow reply but this worked perfectly! Thank you =)

    I know this is slightly off topic but now that I’ve made these changes, I have a grey block behind my images and white text underneath them which is barely visible on the front page in the footer widget.

    How can I change these settings?

    You can change the background and color by pasting this in your custom css box in theme options > advanced settings:

    .home-iconmenu a {
    background: rgba(0,0,0,.14);
    color: #fff;
}
