How to get just twitter feed elements?

  • I’d like to show just the things I want from my twitter post, in the format (HTML) we have. To do this, I’m looking for a way to get the following elements of the latest, say, 10 twitter posts for my user account:

    1. When the post was made
    2. “Via” (what tool was the post made through
    3. The text of the post
    4. Link to the post on twitter

    How can I get just these elements from this official plugin, for just the last 10 posts? I do not want to have the whole shebang posted into my html en masse, with limited options to “customise” the HTML.

    Hope what I need above is possible. Thank you for any direction.

    The Twitter plugin for WordPress offers official Twitter widgets: HTML enhanced with JavaScript. The level of customization you are requesting is not provided.

    Hm. So, there’s no way to simply pull some tweets from an account using this plugin? Is there another plugin you recommend for that purpose, or should I use the API?
