Hi, i’ve installed your plugin but am getting a warning message that imagick for PHP is not available. There seems to be a lot of very technical information about what this means but I’m a photographer, not an IT guru and am lost.

Are you able to help with what this means and how / who can help resolve it? This looks like a fantastic plug in but it seems to be tricky to install it.

    Many thanks
    Phil

Imagemagick is a requirement because the usual image processing library (gd library) ruins color quality in some case.

You should call your host and ask them to enable these things:

    imagemagick
    imagick

You can dismiss the notice, but continuing to use the default image processing might have a detrimental effect on your images if you’ve used Adobe RBG and so forth.

If your host is unable to give you proper support in this, I suggest bluehost because they perfectly accommodate these things.

Here is some info as to why I suggest bluehost (in the case your other host does not accommodate properly) fhttps://community.grfx.co/recommended-stock-photo-hosting/

Feel free to bring other support requests to our forum https://community.grfx.co/
