• Hi,

My site was original designed with only one page https, but I have since moved the whole site under SSL/TLS. the WP Permalinks of the non https pages are still showing http. I have done all of the redirects via .htaccess and that is fine, but for site wide consistency i want to update all of the permalinks (and any others) to https.

Does this require the GUID to be changed? I have read the notes on GUIDs, but am still not sure if this change is still needed.

The approach I have decided to take is, after a database backup, run the plugin on each individual table and make the changes, then test the site to see what happens.

When i search on http to replace with https, I get the expected results. I have only changed one table so far, then re-ran the plugin on the same table (hc_template_mp_fields) but got the same result. I think this may be because the search will still identify the http part of https. Is there a way of using strict terms for the replacement, similar to “*” searching in google?

This site is using a customised template, so many things are either not in the same place, or are not visible to me.

    Hi,

Further to the above. When I ran the plugin on one of the tables (hc_template_options) my order form and associated email table stopped working.

I found that this was because some of the links in the table were already https, therefore my request to change all http to https then made these links httpss and broke them. I re ran the plugin with the search term httpss and the change to as https. this fixed it, but now i am unsure of the status of the table, as it seems that a search for http will also include https, but i won’t know which are which.
