Hello, just looked up my site on https://validator.w3.org turns out there are 23+ errors and 6 warnings. How can i fix this please? i need urgent help. Tried signing up for Google adsense and was rejected i believe the above errors are part of the reason, i intend to re-apply ASAP. I’m Using “Patus” free wordpress theme, link to site. Thanks

The validator explain Lines 382 through 400 are all HTML inside widgets. But i don’t know how to get this fixed, the error seems to be from jetpack (Subscription) sidebar widget. When i remove my sidebar widgets the errors seem to reduce. Also it seems fine when i uninstall jetpack. Please help. Thanks

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

    Thanks!

Could you try to remove the Random Posts widget? It seems quite a few of the errors in the validator.

Once you’ve done so, it should become easier to diagnose the other reported errors.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes i have removed the random post widget and the errors dropped to 13. I’m using another random post widget now. The errors showing now appears to be from Jetpack as they disappear when i deactivate Jetpack. Please help. Thanks

That does seem better indeed. The next error is caused by the NextGen Gallery widget you use to display random images:

Line 479, Column 63: Bad value 3__2509215429 for attribute rel on element a: The string 3__2509215429 is not a registered keyword.

I’d suggest fixing that widget first.

The next 6 errors are caused by your Random Videos widget, and the YouTube video it includes. You’ll want to fix this too.

Then I see a few errors appearing because your caching plugin is not configured properly, and displays the admin bar to everyone, including logged out users like me:
    https://i.wpne.ws/bY7O

You’ll want to fix that as well. I would also suggest updating your plugins since you have 15 pending updates. You could also change your admin username to something a bit more difficult to guess for hackers. You can read more about it here:
    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-change-your-wordpress-username/

Once you’ve fixed all these issues, you should have a lot less errors appearing in the validator.

You’ll need to edit the plugin generating the widget, or let the plugin author know about the problem so they can fix it for everyone.

The new HTML validator can tell you more about where each problem comes from, and how to fix it:
