White Screen – Tried to add Google Analytics code to functions.php

I need serious help.

However, after following the instructions and hitting save, my whole site went into Worpress White Screen of Death mode.

I want to be able to access the functions.php and delete what I had added, but I can’t access my dashboard. I’ve tried looking up ways to fix it, but all of the forums I’ve found talk about ftps and mySQL databases– Terminology that is WAY beyond my understanding.

Can someone please give me simple, step-by-step instructions for how to fix this problem? Thank you in advance!
