    Jetpack is delivering the following message to someone trying to login in to my website an Administrator:

    “Your IP has been flagged for potential security violations”

    I’ve already downloaded and installed the Whitelist IP plugin and added the IP Address Jetpack has concerns about to the Whitelist but it still happening.

    Does anyone know how I stop Jetpack from blocking this IP address?

    Thanks

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    You can follow the instructions here to unblock an IP address in Jetpack’s Protect module:

    Many thanks Jeremy, that works great.

    This is concerning to me. It’s blocking innocent ips. I might have to disable Jetpack or remove it.

    @cyfocus IPs will only get blocked after multiple failed login attempts, either on your site or on any other site using Jetpack’s Protect module.

    If your own IP gets blocked and you don’t remember trying to log in to a WordPress site yourself, you could look at 2 possible causes:

    1. Someone else could be sharing the same IP and causing the block.
    2. If you use a third-party app, like one of the mobile apps, and if you’e entered a wrong password there, it is possible that the app keeps trying to log in using the wrong password, thus causing the block.

    I hope this helps.

    @jeremy,

    Yes, I did remember testing my sites in the mobile device. I was able to whitelist my ip. Thanks for the help.
