• Hi there,

I’ve tried to login to my wordpress admin panel today and I’m met with a Internal 500 error. I type in my pages into the URL and still, internal 500 error.

How can I get around this? I can’t get onto the admin panel to even attempt to fix the issue. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area but I’m not sure where to put it.

    Regards

  • Login to your cPanel and rename your plugin folder to something else. Try to access you dashboard.

    Hope, it’ll works!

Thanks for the reply Atlas but we can’t even get onto the control panel because it gives us the error.

(I guess by control panel you mean the admin panel?)

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks ??

no, control panel mean hosting account panel. Where your domain is hosted!
    That’s separate from Admin panel.

    Hi there,

I’m the guy building the website. I tried renaming the plugins folder from our host, 1&1, but to no avail. I’ve also tried renaming other folders like the admin folder but same nothing. I’ve also tried deleting the plugins folder and then reuploading it.

When I was on earlier, I was on a wordpress domain bit and the domain was shapeinspired.co.uk – However this domain lead to a different site. I renamed it to shapeinspired.co.uk/home (this is where the pages are built around however the aim was to rename it to shapeinspired.co.uk as I thought that was what the section was for) and then it internal errored.

Did I mess up or something or is it due to something else?

    Regards

You need to change your database setting. I mean you need to point your domain to new address.
    Try this:

Export your database from phpmyadmin and edit it. Find and replace “shapeinspired.co.uk” with this “shapeinspired.co.uk/home” Now drop existing database and import it again.

I don’t understand. Can you explain it in full please? I don’t know what phpmyadmin is nor where to go to export my database nor edit the url.

A full explanation would be greatly appreciated as I’m new to this and not understanding it all too much

I get this URL on my address bar when I enter in “shapeinspired.co.uk/wp-admin”

    https://shapeinspired.co.uk/home/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fshapeinspired.co.uk%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

I’ve also tried entering “shapeinspired.co.uk/home/wp-admin” but same thing happens

Send me your email. I’ll create video instructions and will send you!

    Hi there,

Firstly, thanks for the video! I can now access the admin panel again! I’m now onto a new issue. The pages now error. I’ve attached 3 screenshots; one when I click view and the other when I click live edit. Any ideas??
