Fatal Error Preventing Plugin Activate

  • When I press “activate” on the plugin, it responds with:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    The official Amazon Web Services SDK requires PHP 5.3.3+ and cURL 7.16.2+ compiled with OpenSSL and zlib. Your server currently has no PHP cURL library activated.

    “

    I am running this same plugin on other WP sites on the same server, so I don’t see what the issue is with our PHP version or cURL

  • I had this problem yesterday and to solve I just put “extension=curl.so” inside “php.ini” and restarted php.
