Hi guys, I just installed iThemes Security plugin and find that I need to change the permission from 750 to 755 for “/” under Relative Path (High Priority) and the status for this is showing yellow color. I cant find the setting or fix button for this. Anyone know how to fix this? Appreciate your help!

  • You cannot fix this from the iTSec plugin.

You will need to log into your hosting provider Control Panel and change the permissions on the folder\directory using a File Manager tool.
(An alternative would be to log into the server using FTP).

If you have installed WordPress in the root of the public_html folder change the permissions on that folder from rwxr-x— (=750) to rwxr-xr-x (=755).
If you have installed WordPress in a subfolder do the same but this time on that subfolder.

Once taken care of, a refresh of the iTSec plugin Dashboard page will show a green status color for /.

If the above info answers your question please marrk this topic as ‘resolved’.
