Buttons not working

  • Hi, I have several problems with my wordpress site.

    – The “Insert Media” button in post is not working – when I am clicking it, nothing happens. No windows opening, nothing. It’s not my browser blocking pop-up windows.

    – The “Save Menu” button in the Menu editor is not working. When I am clicking on it, it sends me to the wordpress page and shows “Page not Found”.

    These problems are quite strange. I’m thinking there is somekind of bug in my wordpress? Or a plugin that is making trouble? Does anyone have experiences with this?

    I have another WordPress site with another account, where the button works perfectly fine, so it is something on that specific wordpress site that is not working.

  • Try disabling any plugins you may have and reverting to the default theme to see if this corrects the problem. If it does start enabling and testing to try and find out what is causing it.

    Enable the developer console in your browser and refresh the page, look in the “network” tab and see if there are any js files thats missing (should be marked red or atleast giving the code 404) becasue it sounds like you may be missing one or a couple of those for whatever reason.
