I love the look of the plugin on my page, I use a single image in the sidebar and 3 images in the footer.

However I found today that this one plugin takes 18 points off my Google Page Insights score for desktop. This seems to be mostly because every other image is optimised but I can’t optimise these, at least not the way I normally do it.

Is there a way around this you know of? Thanks

    Hey 2aussietravellers,

Glad to hear that you love the look of the plugin ??

When you say that you usually optimize the images, are you referring to optimizing the size? If so, you can change the size/resolution of the images in the feed by using the ‘Image Resolution’ setting on the plugin’s Customize page.

If you’re referring to some kind of image compression optimization then unfortunately that isn’t possible as the images come directly from Instagram’s API and are loaded into the page dynamically.

Thanks, I had thought auto-detect would be most effective but seems page insights doesn’t like it, have adjusted and it’s fine now.
