Scheduled Posts not sending email

Just to double check: you’ve selected the ‘Post Scheduled’ notification – is that right?
Has the post been published / updated or anything else before and then been changed to scheduled or is this literally a new post that they been set to scheduled before being saved?

If you let me know that then I can help troubleshoot some more.

Yes, I’ve selected ‘Post Scheduled’. Then I’ve done a test post where I publish immediately, and I receive the notification correctly.

I have then followed it up with a test post that I schedule to publish a minute later. The post publishes correctly, but I don’t get a notification for it.

No changes have been made to the scheduled post, no updates or anything, just a fresh post that gets scheduled.

No probs. Ok, a few more questions:

Is this for regular posts or a custom post type?
Have you tried with the ‘twenty fifteen’ theme and re-tested?
Have you tried deactivating all plugins and re-tested?

I have the same problem.
In scheduling standard post your plug-in fail when the post status changes to published. Unfortunately I cannot disable all plugins or change the theme: can I do other tests to solve this problem?

So you’re trying to send out notifications when a post is scheduled and then also when the post is published – is that right?

If so, does it send out either notification?

I have the same problem of paulmccabe-betbright: “I want the notification to arrive when a scheduled post becomes published, but it’s not sending anything out for that. When I publish a post directly without scheduling it for later I get the notification, but not when it’s scheduled.”.

If I write a post and then I publish it immediately I receive the notification after few seconds, otherwise if I schedule it, when my wordpress site publish it I don’t receive nothing.
My setting is “New post published”.
It happened the same problem when I published from WordPress app for Android (without scheduling in that case): no notifications.

I hope that my eglish is not too bad…

Ok, i’ve just tested this and it seems that the Post Scheduled notification is working correctly (sending out a notification after you have scheduled a post) but when the scheduled post is published on the date required, it does not trigger the ‘New Post Published’ notification.

I will investigate and look to fix shortly.
I’ll re-open this thread until a fix is released.

I think that your plug-in sends a notification on New Post Published only in case draft->published, otherwise no notification is sent
