How do I minmize HTTP requests?

Under the YSlow tab one of the recommendations, it says to “make fewer HTTP requests.” How am i suppose to no what to do if i don’t no what to make fewer of. How do i find these HTTP requests? It was 4 until i installed this plugin and this made 5.Thanks for the help.
